Join us in the Fight Against Child Exploitation
National Charity NWG Network asks all to unite against child sexual exploitation for their National CE Awareness Day – 18th March
The National Child Exploitation Awareness Day aims to highlight the issues surrounding CSE and wider exploitation; encouraging everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance to adults developing inappropriate relationships with children.
After publically welcoming the Rotherham Inquiry, in yet another scandal The National CE Awareness Day is just another step in the fight to reduce or eradicate CE from society. Working with over 550 organisations across the world to help prevent and raise awareness of CE, NWG Network felt it was an appropriate time to leverage the strength of that network in order to tackle the problem head on.
“Rotherham is not unique in having sexual exploitation in their city, as we have seen through our work over the last few years across Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we see many forms of sexual exploitation.
We’ve been working with local marketing agency, InsideOut Creative who specialise in third sector communications and campaigns to deliver a strategy that will significantly raise awareness through our vast reach.” Commented Sheila Taylor, CEO.
The National CE Awareness Day has a brand identity in the form of a badge, and website educating all on the factors of CE, what it is, potential indicators and how you can help to stop it.
A full suite of marketing and campaign materials are available for partners and supporters to download from their stop-ce.org website.
“It made perfect sense for NWG to leverage their reach and provide a joined up awareness campaign, underpinned by a National CE Awareness Day. It’s a true pleasure to work so closely in building an identifiable icon and campaign that can be used in the fight against CE.” Commented Leah Marley, InsideOut Creative.
“Together we can create more positive outcomes for so many vulnerable young people.” Added Sheila.
On the 18th March NWG Network call for all to unite against child exploitation. Show your support by writing a personal pledge and posting to your social media with the hashtag #HelpingHands to help them raise awareness of CE.
NWG are committed to the fight against CE and supporting victims and their families who are subjected to exploitation. But they cannot succeed without the support of people like you. Visit www.stop-ce.org to find out more about the National Awareness Day and putting a stop to CE.
